Meet Cesare Perlini

LMHC, MA, BCN

Cesare Perlini did his undergraduate work at Duke University and Oberlin College prior to receiving a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. He uses a client-centered approach, and performs EMDR with training in CBT, the Gottman Method, and as certified Equine Assisted Specialist.

Cesare understands that many individuals were not taught how to connect with and understand their emotions, which can lead to confusion in how to handle intense feelings of shame, fear, anxiety, and depression. This can interfere with important relationships as well as hinder your ability to work through trauma. However, Cesare knows that change is possible and you can be successful in your efforts. Cesare and Restorative Pathways will work collaboratively with you to create a compassionate, and safe space for you to move forward and thrive in your life.

Cesare's experience includes work with adults, women’s groups, trauma survivors, young adults, men who aren’t sure about therapy, and those who struggle with boundary issues, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions.

How I Got Here

Cesare's  journey to the mental health field has been non-traditional. He began his professional career as a horse trainer specializing in rehabilitating traumatized horses and working with American Mustangs. He went on to found a school teaching others how to help these types of horses, which was attended by international students from as far away as Norway. Though the students were there to learn about horses, they ended up learning a lot about themselves and some of them made transformations as amazing as the horses themselves.

Cesare was inspired by the profound effect that these human changes had on his students nd himself.  This led to a total career shift and allowed him to help people get the therapy that so many of us truly need. Cesare is passionately dedicated to helping you in whatever way he can and says, "I appreciate you taking the time to consider me as your counselor."
